    Can someone simply tell me will whatsapp STOP on BlackBerry ios after 31st December 2017, or will it continue to work as normal without the option of updates.

    Would it not be possible to use whatsapp after this date via the playstore loaded version onto the blackberry which works as if it's an android app?

    No one knows.

    There is always a possibility, but as more features get left behind in the BB10 version, the chance of WA postponing the kill date of the BB10 yet again becomes more remote.

    The Android app currently works in BB10 with some workarounds but that is also subject to upgrades that are beyond the runtime. In time, WA will want financial transactions to occur thru the app and that upgrade will probably be the death knell for WA on BB10.

    Thanks bud kinda makes sense , I think loosing whatsapp will have to end my 15 year relationship with BlackBerry it's such ashame, I tried the Keyone but found the keypad too cramped, the software I struggled with and the external speaker volume too low

    Yep already read most of the threads there's not much about weather it will work still after December 2017 and will just not allow updates, everyone is just assuming that Jan 1st 2018 it will just stop,

    The fact that the app was going to break on Jun30 until they decided to extend it, which required an update is the best predictor.

    It's OK whatsapp will end support and all app will stop support even I will use blackbery 10 os specialy blackberry classic and blackberry-passport. It's agreat and smooth device
