As the title states what was your favourite BB device you used? BBOS*and BB10?

Also, do you ever foresee Blackberry being able to license their BB10*to other markets? I'm highly skeptical as I can't see there being enough monetary value to have to keep this going. Are they likely only referring to licensing their android software going forward?

I can't say what WAS, while it still IS !!
And that would be my Passport BB10.

As far as getting into a thread of "opinions" about what I or anyone foresees, is nothing more than folly. And you can't debate something that isn't debatable.
I'd have to first ask you what it is that makes you "Highly skeptical" and to produce the documents to back it up and what we'd end up with is just another thread of opinions because NO ONE can say, at this point, anything except to offer an opinion.

The good thing about the future is that it only comes one day at a time!

I have a question, I think. My first BlackBerry was a Storm a few years later I trade up to a 9700, decided that I really liked the storm better so purchased a Storm ll. That phone and I traveled allover N A as I was a long distant trucker. I really liked that on but, the Z30 was about to come out. I got one of the first ones in Edmonton back in 2013. It was/ is great still. i have been yearning for a Passport especially the SE. Ok so the question, although I really like the SE looks sorta like a wider Z30. Is there that much difference between OG and SE?

Biggest difference I've found on the SE is the keyboard is slightly better and easier to press the keys. Keyboard is a little more comfortable as well. I think cell signal may be slightly stronger as well.

Future - nope. Sadly. Will enjoy what I have as long as I can.

Loved that phone (and I have had almost every model with the exception of the PP and the leap) with the 2 way chirp and the scroll wheel on left side. Way ahead of its time, back then..

Currently using both the Z10 and the PRIV.

Storm 2 - for all touch typing
Kickstart - for being able to flip and annoy people while I do it just because I can.
    Passport - for keyboard

No one will license something that has no apps.

BBOS: Certainly the Bold 9900. BB10: The BlackBerry Passport Silver Edition but the Z30 is a very close second.

Licensing BB10: I can't see them licensing it for phones, maybe some other products but not really phones. If for whatever they do license it for phones, it will be a stripped down version and not the BB10 you know and love

I have to agree that there is probably zero plans to licence bb10, the goal I believe is to get enterprise customers over to BlackBerry Android

Regarding BB OS legacy devices, the Bold 9780, while my favourite OS 10 phone is the Passport (original edition). OS 10? Yeah, it is going to be licensed for car infotainment hahahaha.

With all the talk of hacking my fridge, toaster, microwave etc. It might be beneficial to market BB10 as a more secure OS.

The Passport is my favourite. I usually upgrade every years but it's been about 2.5 years with the PP and I have no desire to change.

Funny....having no OS experience....i thought that BB should just release the OS as open source, thinking that's the only way it would survive.

Re BB10 in other devices.... The stripped down version on other devices is already happening, but it has a different name.....QNX (which was the basis of BB10)

The Passport. It was such a unique device even among other BB's. It was both outrageous and yet still intelligent. There may never be a device like that again.

QNX would probably be the better solution... Sadly BB10 would be just too bloated for that application.
