Hi, seeing as though RIM no longer supports BIS on their current platforms (BB10 and Android), i'm wondering what will happen to all the older Blackberry phones that need BIS, once RIM decides to cancel BIS? E.g. the bold and the torch.

I was hoping that parts (e.g. batteries, screens) etc could be manufactured by 'third parties' but it could be a too-distant hope.

As for BIS, as long as they even have a few hundred thousand users, it makes sense for them to keep it available? It's just a glorified proxy service anyway.

All those phones will be lost in time, like tears in rain...
