Google Play Music comes with, and is actually pretty good.

I like Pulsar+ if you're looking for something very simple.

I've always been partial to PowerAmp and Neutron. These apps seem to bring with them some solid functionality and features along with GREAT sound.

I use Google Play Music because I use the streaming part of it a lot, but for a general purpose player I still have Rocket Player around.

Unless you use a file format only available in the Antarctic, you should be fine.

I use VLC. I did not do a transfer so I don't know where your files went. I manually moved my own files and left it in the Music folder on my SD card.

I use iSyncr to sync iTunes music and playlists, but that's all it does.

Use your music player of choice to play them. I use BlackPlayer EX.

after testing black, neutron, go, phonograph, Pi, and pulsar for mp3 playing... I went with pulsar. I disliked the user interface on black, neutron... phonograph was lame... go listed every audio file in the choices and was slow... Pi was good. but ultimately pulsar had the best user interface - very easy and enjoyable to use
