    Considering that the phone number of this sim card is registered under your name, that's all what will be transferring.

    A SIM card contains some information from your carrier. The most important information is the IMSI number of the SIM card which is tied to your phone number. As already stated your number follows the SIM card, when you insert it into a new phone.

    You can add contacts to the SIM, but it's very simple, as you can only add name and number. This is why you don't use SIM cars for address books anymore (the device can hold a LOT more information, such as first name, last name, mobile/business/home number, address, notes ...).

    Depends on the type of sim. They can store basic contact info, as mentioned above, and Sms. The newer Suretap sim cards also store some financial information
