Nothing really, netflix was never in BBW. we used to be able to get it from the amazon app store but for some reason Netflix "blocked" BB10 devices.
Your friend should either install snap or Cobalts Google Play store (which I recommend over snap) and he'll be able to download Netflix (and any other android app).
Hmm my Netflix is from amazon. It was missing for a while after 10.3.1 was official but it's back on my device. Starbucks on the other hand is not showing on my z30..
To get cobalts Google play just find the thread in the forums. There's 3 files to install and log into with your Google account, after all 3 are installed and logged in you should be good to go
Also keep in mind, his version doesn't notify you of store updates, so check back to the tread from time to time to update your files to keep Google play running smooth. Snap will tell you when it gets updated, but at this time you have to side load with a computer for snap
Strange that Amazon is blocking BB10 apps... Is there no glory for us step children?
I just tried my Netflix app and it shutsdown as soon as it starts???
Amazon wouldn't block BB10 apps. They're partnered with BlackBerry, which is why they have all the rights to have their Appstore integrated into the OS.

I'll second that. Cobalt's Play Store APK process is a very easy install. I'm running a number of Android apps on my Passport with no issues at all.
Also incase people on this thread have not read yet, Netflix is to be updating their mobile website to look and act like an app with HTML5 as the video format.
It's to be fully rolled out within the next few weeks, so essentially we no longer need to have the app for bb10 anymore
