Apps no, data not sure.
you can use OTG cable to use memory stick so you can download APKs and save them in your memory stick unlimited when you need to install an Apk just connect your usb to your phone and go to File manager and open apk and install it after that you can remove usb and the app once installed can continue running..

Better yet, use one of these:
Attachment 291859
20 bucks at Walmart. Good enough for my documents and hassle-free data transfer.
Erm you COULD back up your device and put the backup on the memory stick, it'll back up your android apps and native BlackBerry apps and contacts and logins and whatnot

Does this work with the Z10? And what exactly does it do? Do you connect it to your phone and move files like a USB stick? If so, that's exactly what I need

unfortunately I didnt get this so thats why im using OTG cable..

Whoa! That's sweet. Thanks for posting it.
You should cover this in an article so people know about it :)

That's exactly what it does, but as far as I remember, USB OTG only works on the Z30.
You just plug the micro USB end of the phone and read/play/move/copy/delete/manage files on the native file manager. The other end is for normal PCs, obviously.
The fact that you can put a little cord on it and slap it on a keychain makes it very handy.
SanDisk also offers an app to password protect your files, but that's Android stuff so I didn't mess with it.
I am flattered.
Why wouldn't it work on a z10? It should be the same thing as connecting to a computer and exchanging files

The device needs to be powered for its storage to be recognized. The Z10 does not have a USB OTG port, so it does not have this capability.
