Lately tiny bubbles have been appearing under the surface of my BB Classic screen, the screen also seems to get tiny scratches pretty easily. i'm starting to suspect there is a removable "screen protector" that wasn't mentioned with the shipping materials. (there was a plastic peel off layer on the phone that was clearly just for protection during shipping). What makes me think the 'bubbled' layer may be removable/replaceable is that there is a small grey triangle in the lower right corner, that doesn't show up in the advertisements for the phone (though it does show up in one jpg on crackberrry: - http://forums.crackberry.com/attachments/blackberry-classic-f419/361734d1436482220t-blue-blackberry-classic-img_20150709_184811.jpg)
if this isn't something that can be easily replaced, i'm pretty disappointed in the durability of the Classic screen surface.

That is the plastic screen protector that comes with the device when shipped from the factory. You can safely remove it, as well as the one on the back of the phone which is covering the camera lens.

The BlackBerry Classic has Gorilla Glass 3 which is quite resistant to scratches (however not scratch proof), but if you want some additional protection for peace-of-mind you can easily purchase screen protector.

Perhaps during construction of the phone, the person that was on the line forgot to take off the inside protector of the screen

You know.. if this comment was made on Kevin's new YouTube video, I'd choose you too win that Classic just because of that question you asked. It's a screen protector so it's safe to peel off of the device.

U should contact your BlackBerry sales representative and ask for a replacement, obviously the screen is defective

But seriously, peel the layer off.
