If you've logged in to your phone with a Google account (as you should), there's already tools to do so: https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/7177579

Adding to the question, as I'm considering the KeyOne -- Is there the classic BB Protect feature? I don't want to deal with Google. Any insights will be appreciated.

No, BB Protect is only for legacy devices. If you don't want Google's thing there are a few alternatives, like Cerberus.

That's too bad, about BB protect. But good to know other things exist. Reeeeeally thinking about the KeyOne!
