If the button is not working.. nothing. Nothing in the boot menu is going to fix a button anyway. Contact BlackBerry Mobile and inquire about a repair/replacement. - https://blackberrymobile.com/hotline...ervice-center/
That, or he could download Button Remapper and assign the convenience key to act as a volume down
Why not both? Lol
Because if he goes through the warranty exchange, then there won't be a need for Button Remapper since the new device will have working volume down button??
Sure there will until he files for the Warr exchange and sends the device off.
Maybe they REALLY need their device this week and need it fully working and can use Button Mapper in the mean time, but next week isn't as urgent and can file for the exchange.
I think the point the OP is making is that since the volume button is stuck on, s/he cannot boot the phone in the normal way, as it automatically boots the boot loader menu.
I am having the same issue, with the phone scrolling through the menu continuously, and telling the phone to boot just restarts, and ends up in the same place.
Is there any suggestion of how I can get past the screen to back up data?
Do you think it's realistic to hope for a patch with an option such as 'continue boot' which doesn't leave the phone stuck in this loop?
thanks
