I have A new phone from someone and am trying to set up the visual voicemail. I thought my phone number was the password but it is not. I cannot change the password without knowing the old one. How can I reset?

The voicemail is typically attached to the phone account, so your provider should be able to set or reset your password.


A factory reset on your device should clear the password on the phone. Of course, it will also clear your downloaded apps, email accounts, etc. That will make the phone just like it was out of the box.
