Care to elaborate? Upload files where? There's lots of places to upload files to but in general, yes.

ok. I mean upload a video file from my mobile to a message in a thread.
When I click on reply I can't find an "advanced option", eg . here. On "select an option" I can't find anywhere to post a photo or video, on my laptop I do though.

You don't. Forums aren't set up for uploading video. Use a different service, like YouTube, Dailymotion, Vimeo, etc. Photos should be different though, you should see options for those but you still haven't told me how you're trying to upload, through an app, your browser, is your browser in desktop mode? The options available are gonna vary by the how of it all.
