I have a Pre-Production KEYᵒⁿᵉ built on March 14/2017 and does not have a PRD number. It is currently on AAM481 which is the July 2017 patch. Checking for updates does not bring any results. Question, would an Autoloader work despite not having a PRD number. It is a BBB100-1 fyi.

It should work without a PRD set, unless it has either more things missing than just a PRD, or if TCL blocked older hardware from loading newer OSes.

Somehow it did get updated to July 2017 patch but you may be right that there might have a decision to stop updates at some point. All my blackberry apps and services are now up to date via the playstore as far as I can tell but the update app is not...

Oh. Can't even get it into fastboot mode. Bootloader menu no problem but when I scroll down to fastboot and press the power button it just cycles back to the Bootloader menu. Anything I could have missed? I took off any locks I had set.

They can't be loaded beyond whatever the cut off was and there's no way that I know of to determine what the cut off was. Even the PRD isn't really a perfect indicator. Anything beyond it will just cause it to bootloop.

I think that is normal. The fastboot option restarts you into bootloader menu...

Ok tried to update using the Q Tool and now I'm stuck in bootloader loop as Bla1ze suggested. Error message read that your device cannot be upgraded higher than the version you are on. Anyway of rolling back or do I now have a parts phone?

get back to bootloader. unzip all autoloader files into a single directory.
make sure your phone is attached and run. press y and enter.
unless you had a lock enabled on your phone that should fix it. if you didn't temporarily turn phone lock off before trying q you may be up a creek. conite will probably know.

Good news, I was able to get out of the bootloop by autoloading AAN355. The journey continues.
