I just purchased this blackberry q10 from amazon: Blackberry Q10 Black 16GB Factory Unlocked, International Version - 4G / LTE 3, 7, 8, 20 (1800 / 2600 / 900 /... by BlackBerry. It is the first one that comes up when you search blackberry q10 on the US amazon store, prime eligible, and fulfilled by amazon. I would post the link but I do not have enough posts to be allowed to yet.

As it turns out, there is no blackberry warranty on this phone, only a 30 day one from the seller. This seller is fulfilled by amazon so I assumed they were trustworthy. Is this normal practice (for an unlocked blackberry to not have a warranty)? Or was I scammed?

BlackBerry phones sold by third parties usually don't have a manufacturer's warranty, exceptions being the carriers and I believe Amazon in the case of the Passport.

Not gonna say Im happy to hear that, but thank you very much for this information. It at leasts lets me rest knowing I didnt get scammed.

Third party insurance like Squaretrade may be an option to explore.

Yeah, I bought the accidental damage from handling protection just because I always do. Glad I did but I always expected to be able to make a warranty claim if something were faulty.

I actually just bought the Q10 from the same site. Yes, you're right, there is no warranty except for the 30-day return policy from the seller. So, don't try to do anything so crazy with it, lol
