    Hi everyone.

I just recently purchased a carrier unlocked blackberry passport AT&T version.

I want to try and use it as my daily driver. The device is in great condition everything works good and when I plug in my current active sim card it sends messages and uses the data.

However, for some reason the phone number is different. In the device settings/about it says my carrier is T-mobile (my actual carrier is Republic but they use T-mobile) and lists a different number. I tried changing the number in security and it says it's changed but doesn't send or receive anything from that number.

The phone has already been through a security wipe.

So I'm wondering if it's possible to somehow to use my number on the SIM.

Can I dial in a number to do this? or do I have to contact Republic?

Was this the SIM that Republic gave you?

If you are having issues with your number, I'd contact Republic or maybe try another SIM.
