I mostly route all my emails though my BlackBerry, with Gmail being the only client I may rarely use on a computer to send email. I know sync interval doesn't affect how quickly an email is pushed to my device, but I'm now under the impression that when I delete an email or send one from my phone, it's updated on my Gmail soon after and has nothing to do with sync interval I set. Am I correct?
If that is the case is sync interval only to do with when you use Gmail and how quickly it's updated on your phone?

Sync interval is for reflecting activities performed on your desktop.

Ah, so since I use Blend when on the desktop instead of going straight to Gmail, I can increase my sync interval and save a bit of battery. Cool.
