    I have a Blackberry Bold 9700 backed-up on Blackberry Desktop software version 2.4.0 on my MacBook Pro.
    My Blackberry just died (fell in water), and I need to restore all of the data from the Blackberry Desktop software to a new Blackberry.
    Question: Will that version (2.4.0) of the Blackberry Desktop software be able to restore all of my stored data to a new Blackberry Classic, or will it only work on a new Blackberry Bold 9700 (if I can find one)?

    no, that data will not restore to a classic. it will only restore to a phone with the same OS
