It will be probably the same as the usual 'trade in' program offered by the carriers here, $50.00 for your old device. It's hardly worthwhile in my opinion.

As to whether it will be offered in your country, you will have to wait and see.

Just wipe your phone OS well after backing up and sell it online. You'll probably make better money that way.

The "deal" will be from BBMo (if it comes), who isn't directly selling anything in India. Would need to see if Optiemus ... offers some sort of program. Or just becomes a distribution point for BBMo as it seems they are.

Who knows? I'm here in the USA. Here? Right now on Ebay? Maybe $25-$50 USD for the 9780 and $50-$100 for the Z30. Wherever you're at, could be more, could be less. Search online where you're at to see prices if you were buying a used device.

They have mentioned the programme will be open to BBOS, BB10, and Priv but not DTEK devices but I guess we'll see when it's launched.

Each day that goes by, old devices just go down a little more. If you're unloading devices, better to sell now vs later.

Just sad that they announce the trade up program but offer no details as to how much, or even when we can expect it....

As I've said repeatedly above, if you want to get rid of your device, sell it to someone else.

"As a further show of our appreciation and gratitude, we are working with our partners at BlackBerry Mobile to offer a trade-up program that will provide you with a significant discount and incentive to upgrade your current BlackBerry device to a new BlackBerry KeyOne or Motion,"

I think many are focused on the word "significant".... and hoping.

I am lol. I don’t mind keeping my Priv around but wouldn’t mind utilizing this program instead of using a upgrade with my carrier.

No device manufacturer is going to want your old phones in 2018. Recycling program is too much trouble for expense since most old devices are now sold used.

Agree... and it wasn't BBMo that made this statement, it was BlackBerry who was trying to offset some of the negativity of their officially admitting an end to BB10 was coming. Smokescreen was all it was.
