I have a Z10 and was wondering if there would be a way to unlock the phone. I am in Canada and its locked to Rogers Canada network.

    Please help.

In the U.S., you can ask the carrier for the unlock code and they'll provide it for free. If you're a long time customer, they'll do it immediately, most times. If you're new, they just want you on their network for about 30 days. This, of course, is provided that you own the phone outright, though if you're a long time customer, you just need to give a valid reason, like overseas travel and they'll happily give it to you.

(My experience is limited to T-Mobile USA. Two branded phones unlocked.)

You could try ask Rogers by saying you will be abroad for sometime for work and if you get lucky they may do it. Otherwise, most likely it will be $50. Give it a shot.

Unfortunately Rogers recently sent me a text giving me an additional 2GB for being a "Loyal customer ". Yet when I called them for an unlock code they want $50.00. Even when I said I'd take the unlock code over the additional data...no go.

Talk to someone else. Eventually you will get a rep to help you. Keep trying, it works.

I will, but with Rogers it's always the same problem....having the time to get through takes forever with this company. They are so disorganized.

I never have an issue getting someone, just takes on average 1.5 hours for them to figure it out

Just use this http://www.blackberrycodesource.com/...lackberry.html for $25 for z10 on Rogers and then you're free and clear. I just used them for my passport and it was easy and fast.
