    I had to switch a phone from Classic back to Bold. Backed up the Classic, but IT tells me that there's no way to upload the Classic backup to the Bold -- OS differences. Any suggestions?

    nope. you cant add the Classic backup to the Bold. OSes are totally different.
    You will have to start from scratch with the Bold. Unless you have email accounts like gmail and yahoo or outlook, then your contacts will sync with the Bold.
