On my sisters z30 when she hits the language key while writing a message it let's her hand write each character on screen. I've also seen a passport do the same in the BlackBerry store in dubai. Does anyone know how to allow a bb10 device to do this? And why is the option sooo hard to find and why is the feature so low key?

Found it! Add Chinese as one of your input languages and that can be used for hand writing english letters . you don't have to confirm each letter, just wait a second then do next one，
and when you are wanting to composs a email etc you can handwrite the first letter and find your contact that way
