Is there anything similar to BB Blend for BB Key 2?

I miss Blackberry Blend having upgraded to a BB Key 2 from a 5 year old BB Passport because I could not get more modern apps. However, it appears there is no similar software. Is having a gmail account the only way to do it and do I then have to sign up to their sofftware such as Yahoo?

I use web.bbmessaging.com which is part as it gives only the BBM portion, there are also others mentioned on the CB sites. And yes I loved using Blend.
