    After installing an android app (Play the Future) from the Amazon appstore my sms no longer works... I uninstalled the app but it made it even worse with severe lag when trying to access my texts... I have reinstalled the app but texting still is no good but lag in accessing us not as bad... HELP...

    Uninstall the app and restart the Z30.

    If you search around a little bit in the forums I am quite certain there are instructions on how to correctly uninstall an Android app.

    Rather than restarting device have you tried a "hard"reboot?
    Hold power button down for 20-30 seconds until the red LED flashes and the BlackBerry boot logo reappears then release.

    If on OS version 2836 have you installed the BlackBerry android runtime fix? If not go to the following link to install the patch.

    I already had the runtime fix installed and re initialized it but to no avail... The hard boot did not work either, but thanks again for the suggestions... I think I may have to do a wipe, but I will hold out for a while... Trying to get text up and running without a wipe... If there are any further suggestions I'm open to them...

    Swipe down from home screen
    Open device monitor
    Go to the CPU tab
    Look for BlackBerry blend in the list of apps running
    Click it, and then close it


    Text messaging has stopped working on Z30-img_20161125_014901.png

    If that's not enough, go through every app that is in the list that isn't an essential app and close it.

    Thank you all for your assistance... After doing all the above, many restarts and a good night's rest for my trusty Z30, it appears to have righted itself... I can not point to what made it so but it is working again with the app installed...
