My wife just purchased a new Q10 to replace an older Q10. When I try to use Blackberry Link to "switch devices" it stops me and says thay have different Blackberry ID's. When I try to change the new ID to match the old one, it says the ID is already taken. Just want to switch data and media files from the old to the new.

You can try downloading DeviceSwitch on both devices. It allows easy transfer of contacts, calendar events, photos, and videos.

Apps are out of reach, though. You might wanna try a long process of backing up, and then restoring on the other device.

All you need to do is back up your old phone with blackberry link and then restore the exact file backed up to the new phone. That way, you get all your phone settings, contact, calendar everything on the phone except what you have on the SD card.

You might use FireChestBackUp or BackUpPro. You save from one phone to a cloud like DropBox (free version) or to a sd card (pro) then restore to the other phone.
