The BlackBerry Classic's keyboard is a physical keyboard only and is not touch sensitive like the Passport's. Therefore, you cannot swipe left to delete on the keyboard like you can with the Passport.
No. That's a feature of the capacitive keyboard on the Passport and is exclusive to that device and the virtual keyboards found on the Z series of BB10 devices.
