    Can someone explain to me what Slack is and can I use it for something besides work, I was hoping to start a chat group or something lol.

    Slack is a communication tool used by organizations to have all its members chat.

    Usually used by start ups.

    To set up, you need to create an account. Create a team, then you have to invite people who also create accounts and join your team.

    It's not a simple process and it might not be the best for everyday chatting. It is excellent for companies though, since there are clients on desktop and mobile.
