I'm wondering if and how I can download skype blackberry world won't let me download it and it's not on the amazon app store

I didn't realize it was pulled from BlackBerry World, but in any case, grab a copy of the android apk, should work as I think the "native" Skype app was just a repackaged apk to bar file anyways. Google Skype apk. Grab one and sde if it works for you. You will need to enable installing apps from unknown sources

Just an FYI if it helps anyone else.

I have found that the last version 4 Skype Android app actually works for audio and video calls, messaging and doesn't need patching for Google Play Services. Phone gets hot though, battery burner, so sign-out after use.
