    i have updated my z10 to the latest version several times ! at first it took too long and when the phone finally started, my applications won't open. when i restart the device or turn it off it updates once again!! this is really bugging me. what should i do

    Do a secure wipe and then update your device once again.

    You don't even need a wipe. Download an autoloader and run the exe. Make sure link is closed and you have cabled up to your pc. Issue will resolve after you load the os yourself

    If you just updated it may take a day or so for system to settle in.
    However if this is not so then locate your BBVE tool and select device monitor and see what your system use % looks like.
    * Close all apps before *
    If your System % is greater than 4.2-7/9 - then take a look at the Apps showing running and you will find your culprit.

    System take about 15%
    And PIM service take about 30%

    You could do a backup / and try to do a clean install either by autoloader or by wipe / update.
    I have a fairly large email system both Gmail and Outlook.com and on day 3 I am down to a settled state. (PIM 1% / System 5% avg).
    Maybe someone has a better solution.

    As suggested remove your accounts then re-add to system, failing that as I suggested try doing a refresh of the OS but indeed PIM is working (too) hard.
