    I'm looking to switch back to BB by purchasing a Passport or Classic device. With ability to use SNAP and the like to sideload android apps to close that "app gap" my interest went through the roof.

    It also got me thinking. If I sideload an android app, such as a banking app, is my information as secure as if I was using a stock BB app?

    There's no guarantee a Stock BB App is secure or not 'safe', the OS doesn't magically protect you from that kind of thing, you get a few permission change options and that's about it.
