Hey guys is anyone having problem with shazam and soundhound. They never pick up the songs. I've uninstalled and reinstalled but still nothing. Can anyone help.

I'm having on and off issues with Shazam. I deleted the app and downloaded from the amazon store this time and it seems to be working better

I've been having the same problems. I'm running 10.3.2.2789, but it's had this problem ever since 10.3.2 (I think). I've missed having it work. I've tried SoundHound from BB World, Snap. I've tried Shazam from Snap and Amazon, to no avail. Shazham crashes (closed 80% of the time when opening), and SoundHound just comes back with can't recognize the song. It's like it doesn't have permission to the mic or something.

Running 10.3.2.2474 on a Passport and no issues with native Soundhound app recently. I just tried it now to confirm and it worked just fine.

Sometimes when I am on mobile and not WiFi I get an error message (can't recall what it says) but I just click OK and then the Soundhound button again and it usually works.

Thanks for the reply! It's good to know it works on the Passport. I've tested on my son's Z10 (10.3.2. 2204) and it works. My wife's AT&T Passport also has the same problem; I just upgraded her's this week. Might be all the incremental Sachsi upgrades?

Been using blackberries Sound Hound on my Z10 for the longest time. Not really experiencing any problems. On occasion it may not pick something up but works very accurately most of the time

I lost Shazam when I switched from my Torch 2 9810 and got my Z30 and Passport SE.....

Ive used multiple song id app's.
None have really worked.
I remember shazam back when it first came out. It would id everything I threw at it.

I'm convinced today, that all music id apps only recognize the top 40/50 lists that are published/ played on radio.

It's a shame really.

SoundHound works with no issues on my z30, but it does not recognise all the songs.
I have compared it with Shazam on my 9900.

Been using shazam on my z30 through several OS updates (currently 10.3.2.2789) without any problems. I haven't updated the app in a while, version 5.7.0. Maybe newer versions have issues.

Shazam just crashes on me and won't launch. Not sure what happened, it used to work perfectly. Soundhound works fine but doesn't always find songs, especially new ones.

Hey guys, I think I've found it.

The way I got shazam back running is by going back to an older version.

Go to this website : http://shazam.en.uptodown.com/android/old

Just download and run the apk by clicking on it in the filebrowser of your bb10 device.

I retried installing older versions untill it worked. For me this was Shazam version 5.4.0.
