    I have a keyone and a status bar keeps flashing that says preparing sd card. Checking for errors. I have used 3 sd cards and it still comes up. Does anyone know why or what it means?

    Move data off the card, then format it in the device, then move the data back. Should stop.

    Do only half of what B1aze says, you probably have corrupted data. You should remove the data from the SD card into a computer just to be safe, then format the card. If you put the data back in and the SD card still doesn't work. Then everything on you SD card is lost. Format it and don't put anything back on it. Then put it in your phone. If that makes any sense. I would highly recommend that you do weekly backups of your micro-SD card onto your desktop or computer.

    Didn't work. formatted the card and it's still happening. There's nothing on the card.

    I had this same exact issue in my June built silver KEYone, it would have the "preparing SD card - checking for errors" pop up quite often. This also drained battery, the "Media" in battery stats represented by a blue arrow. It did this with a 64gb SanDisk SDXC, however it did not have any issues with a SanDisk 32gb SDHC card. So I thought maybe some early Silver Editions don't like SDXC's

    I now own the Black Edition with that same 64gb card and no issues
