The phone speaker is making a noise that's bugging me like crazy. I was thinking about sending my passport in for repairs but I have a leaked, OS. Will they refuse to fix the speaker over this?

They'd likely never notice but common sense says play it safe and install an official build. Do you REALLY want to be that one person that gets singled out for it? lol.
No but when they return it, it will be the official os.
I would definitely re-install the official software as they can say u nullified the warranty by installing a leak which caused the damage even though it didnt
Blackberry Passport running 10.3.1.1151
In my case, they didn't accept my handset. I have given to the authorized BlackBerry service centre.
Revert it back to 10.3.0.xxxx using an autoloader, and avoid the tension.

Wow they fixed mine and sent back with official loaded.

They don't care as much in Canada because we don't really have 'official' BlackBerry service centers. We have outsourced companies who just repair phones from every company regardless of the manufacturer plus, the majority of carriers all use the same service center. Logistically, it's just easier to wipe it, fix it, ship it and move on.
Thanks I did not know that,
Thanks for all the quick help, I will see if I can find an autoloader for 10.3 just to be safe.
I will miss my passport while it's gone but it couldn't be backed up by a better device (Z30)
Anyone have an idea on what could hurt a speaker? I'm usually very careful with my phones. The passport is not very case friendly though. The only thing I can think of would be snow,( I'm in northern Ontario.) I work in an office and I use my work iPhone in "dangerous" phone situations cause I don't mind if that breaks lol.

You can find all auto loaders here,

Lol no I guess not. I was hoping the next os I load would be a 1949 not lower though.
Love the service at crackberry, ask a question and the boss answers you lol. Thanks for your hard work, love the site. While I might still be talking to you,can you please have the crackberry store sell the slimport adapter for the passport and probably classic now too. (dealing with shop crackberry is better than shop BlackBerry) (if possible).
