    I have a functioning Blackberry Z10

    Blackberry STL100-2

However, I changed to an iPhone but, on doing so discovered some photos must have been left on the old BlackBerry (Phone provider contract for which has been closed). I cannot access the phone because it does not recognize my password and I cannot seem to recover it - I am reluctant to try any more attempts for fear of having "all data erased after 10 attempts").

How can I recover the photos if they were, say, on type micro SIM card or even on the phone's own memory?

You should move your pin and IMEI.

Also, you'd have to plug in your device, or add a cloud service to the file manager and upload the photos to it, and then download on the iPhone.

However, for any methods, you need the password, period.

    OK, so:
    1) How can I edit out the info from my initial post (I presume you mean REmove my pin and IMEI)?
    2) does anyone know how one recovers a password for the phone?

Yes, remove. You should be able to edit post, if not, report it, and ask a moderator to make the changes.

And you can't recover it, you have to know it. If you don't know it, the phone is a brick.

Do you mean that you have a microSD memory card in the phone?

microSIMs are only for phone numbers, not photos.

Were you syncing with BlackBerry Link to a PC or Mac? If so then your pictures should be on your computer. They would be in a sub folder under pictures IF you have a PC, with a name of your BB's PIN.
