If the Priv is successful, which it most likely will. I see an end to the BB10 OS. Anyone disagree? Please share your thoughts.

    It's already screwed anyway.
10.3.3 and 10.3.4 likely the last branch

Worse. If the Priv is not successful, then it's the end of devices altogether.

Yup. But that does not contradict my statement. If Priv bombs, they won't launch any more devices. That would be dumb.

Way too early to call the Priv a success, but early buzz seems positive at least among people I know.

Certainly stronger so far than the Passport was. That should tell us something , right?

Guess we'll wait and see, personally it's way too big and should have been released with a Priv Mini as well as big Priv.

And by hell I want to see some bill boards and TV adverts.

That's (arguably) an issue for future android users to worry about. But I fully agree, if the priv dies, so does their current plan for the future. That said they didn't exactly give the priv their 'all'.

It'll be interesting to see if many people actually buy one or if it's just buzz.

Iff the Priv isn't successful I don't think it'll be an end to all devices together. Because businesses and governments all rely on BlackBerry. Barack Obama uses BlackBerry and so do many other politicians as well. Also many world leaders use BlackBerry too.

It doesn't matter. They are losing millions on them. Better off to say goodbye.

The value of BlackBerry without handsets is effectively zero. The handsets might show a loss with regards to the 'bottom line' but their value is much greater than what you can find in a financial statement.
If they stopped making handsets, you would be dreaming to think anyone would buy any BlackBerry service

IoT, QNX Auto, and EMM (BES12, Good, etc). That would be about it. I don't think any of that depends on BlackBerry devices anymore.

They would love to add the BlackBerry Experience Suite to that I'm sure. Hopefully the Priv (and the public hacks) will get around and establish value for it.

Let's just hope the Priv does become at least moderately successful.

I agree that devices can lead to some sales in other areas, but it's hard to imagine that the staggering losses with BB10 are a value-add overall.

Why? They are losing millions and millions of dollars every quarter on BB10, with fewer and fewer users as time goes on.

You want then to continue to pour development money into that pit?

I build for, and use, Windows 10 already. I have two Windows 10 phones. If Bbry bites the bullet, I don't know. I like my iOS sales a lot. But I prefer fringe OS development. And I don't like the Android piracy issue... plus the security thing. It's a tough one.

BlackBerry 10 is the best os I've used..it is the ultimate os in terms of messeging nd managing emails..and can efficiently manages stufffs that other operating systems rarely does..bt still it lost in the battle among os`s....i believe it's because of the lack of apps and advertisement..
Bt there is nothing much we can do..bb 10 is long gone..
