    Well, I don't think that is what he is talking about. That option is for automatically downloading and installing the OS updates. I believe he asked how to turn off notifications of an available update. I don't think you can do that, but why would you not want to be notified? If you updated the OS, then you won't be notified again until the next update. And why would you not want to update to begin with?

    well even if it is just a notification how often do they come for the updates once every 2 months ? can it be that annoying really to want to turn a notification that comes by once in a blue

    Yeah, I agree with you. The OP had been complaining about something like that in similar threads for a while now. If he would just update when he gets the notification it would probably solve all his little issues.

    haha now i see what your getting to that would explain the constant notification, wouldnt turning off the setting help in the future if he gets a notification now and deletes it then he shouldnt be getting afterwards if the setting is off
