I always try for 2 to 3 years I always wait until I getting the blue screen of death. My Z10 was still in working order before I retired it to purchase a K1. it was a couple of years old.

My Q10 was my daily driver for 5 years, and probably would have gone for more, but the keyboard started to crack in places (I tend to type with my nails), and it became more difficult to get the keys to make contact with the board underneath. Other than that, it's still going, on my dresser, as a clock or posting news alerts. One day I'll get up the courage to replace the keyboard, and it will go for another 5+ years! :-D

Yes, for years. They last pretty much forever barring something catastrophic like dropping into into a lake.

Are you considering a particular Blackberry Andrei?
