    I have bought a new battery for my Q10 and although the picture and description looked similar to my old one, there is no BlackBerry word on it, the strip on the end is purple not blue and the white oblong on the terminal end is in the wrong place. Is this safe to use?

    Your always going to be told to use OEM parts (battery, cables, chargers)... replaced by factory authorized repair shops.

    My guess is 95% of Q10 users looking to replace their battery will do so with some non-OEM battery, using a non-OEM charger with a non-OEM cable. And most of them will have no issues.
