Just got Q10 recently and had it set up to my liking. Got a message that an upgrade was available and I chose to ignore it since I didn't want all my settings to be messed up. BB decided to upgrade anyways while I was sleeping; and of course, all my settings messed up. I was able to restore all my settings to where I wanted them, except, the following problem:

Before, after I browsed the internet I closed the browser (old habit of not having too much going on at once). My browser history would remain for the 2 weeks that I had it set for.

After upgrade, when I browse and then close out of the browser, I no longer have browser history. Same thing happens if I turn off the phone or trake out the battery (or just recently after plugging my phone into PC to backup to BLACKBERRY LINK).

So, as long as I don't close my browser; don't turn off the phone; take out the battery; or do maintenance; I have a browser history for 2 weeks.

Contacted BB support and their only suggestion is to restore the phone to its original settings. However, this will wipe out all my settings which is a worse problem.

If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it (as of now, I appreciate my old Curve more and more).

    Thanks

Hi, try backing up the OS and reload using BlackBerry Link. I have no issues with any build with browser history settings.

    For the future:
"Phone decided to update while you slept"...
    Turn that off:
    Settings>Actualisation>Option-wheel>Toggle 0/1 to "0"... Here the screenshots (I have a german OS)

    Thanks, zocster

I was able to do what you suggested and it fixed the problem. When I restored my backup the problem came back, which told me something in my backup was corrupted. So I did Custom restore and was able to find the problem by trial and error.

I appreciate your solution to my problem.

    Thanks again
