    Have attempted to download latest Android security update x 10 but each time "verification failure" is highlighted.
    Have tried all the tricks advised by Blackberry support but still problematical.

    Every DTEK60 (and DTEK50 for that matter) owner has this problem. Nothing to be done until BlackBerry fixes whatever they broke.

    4th try to install DecemberSecurityUpdate on Dtek50. I did the 20 steps in your workaround, reinstalled play services. Still no luck. (maybe 1.5 yr old Android 6 is the problem? OSupdates are part of security!) What to do? I bot BB for security! GetSerious, BB! - OK, you're trying to get out of handsets. But the WORLD knows you still as handset provider. You want to control millions of cars. What a joke. If you can't issue a monthly security patch anymore, how many highway crashes will your software cause? Buckle down, and get the December Android Security update RIGHT! - I've had my Dtek for 1 year. Are you really going to abandon it? Does a serious handset provider do this?
