Problem with charging port on Q10

I'm on my 2nd Q10. I threw out my first one due to a loose charge port after using the phone for 6 months. I'm now using my 2nd one for 10 months, and once again the charge port is loose. I need to hold the charging cable at an angle in order to charge.

RIM - I like the phone, but do not want to have to buy another at full price. Is this a problem that other users have had? If so, how about fixing my phone?

Users in the forum, have you experienced similar problems with a q10?

I didn't have this problem with any of my former blackberry's.

I have a Q10 and have had it for almost a year now. I haven't faced any such problem.

I have the problem with my Z10 and Z30. Never used to have it with my other berries. I do the same as you are doing.

Maybe you are a bit rough with your plug ins. Cant you find a repair shop instead of throwing them out? 10 months only means 2 months left on warranty??? How about attempting a repair yourself?

First make sure you are using the OEM cable, believe it or not, there are some variances in sizes. Second, when you insert or remove the cable try to "see-saw" the cable as little as possible. I have two Z10s, one purchased back when they were first released in the US, and no such problems. The best solution is to charge your phone in a dock, but not sure there is such a thing for the Q.

Buy a new charger. Always worked for me.
