    Hi

Long time BB10 user and just bought an unlocked Priv STV100-3 and I'm trying to use it on Bell Canada. I know the STV100-1 is the typical model for Bell, but got a good deal on this unopened box and the LTE bands looked the same.

The phone came out of the box with Marshmallow 6.0.1 on it and sitting at Security Patch July 5, 2016.

I've tried hitting "System Update" under WiFi as well as just with LTE. Says System is up to date.

Is there a way to force the updated 2017 security patch to this phone or an I screwed since Bell is ignoring it since it's a stv100-3??

    Any input would be appreciated.

    Thanks
    Nidus72

Download the autoloader for it. Keep in mind, this will wipe all your content but at least you'll be updated. - Reload BlackBerry powered by Android smartphone - Canada

Have you tried updating just using wifi?

    And perhaps removing sim card?

Thanks for the response. I used the autoloader and everything is now up to date. I'm hoping this was a one time issue and I don't have to do this each month with the updates. Worried that having a stv100-3 instead of -1 on Bell is the root cause?
