I don't need to keep any apps open and running and so it is always one extra step to get where I want to go. Is it possible to hide or delete or disable the homescreen so that when i open the phone I have my first screen of apps in front of me?

You mean disable active frames? If so, no.

Yes, I guess I mean active frames. The first screen you get after you unlock - with the little house icon at the bottom. I miss the straight-to-the-apps action of my Bold 9900.

I'm disappointed - but I very much appreciate your answer!

yes you can have it disabled when you close all active frames.

Just untick "show wallpaper when all apps are closed"

Possible to delete BB Classic homescreen?-img_20150109_182639.png

Then it'll be apps then straight to the hub, no empty screen

If you are asking to NOT view wallpaper (or empty screen-no apps) then go to settings/display and then
disable "show wallpaper when all apps are closed".

edit: LOTPR is too quick-you beat me to it
