    A while ago my BB9900 OS 7.1 Bundle 2807 stopped working on some secure (HTTPS) sites, so to circumvent I installed OPERA browser.

    About 2 weeks ago I had no access to the internet with either browser.

    I have done everything I can think of including following advice from many forum suggestions (including Battery & SIM out, leave and then re-boot, wiping, etc). I spent lots of time with Rogers but to no avail.

    I tried a my SIM card in another BB9900 ...no change. I tried a new SIM card in my phone as well as 3 other BB9900 s......no change.

    So now I am wondering whether all BB9900 have stopped having access to the internet, in spite of the fact that I cannot find that stated anywhere.

    Do you still have the 4-dot BlackBerry logo up there next to your network status?

    Is the network type capitalized or all small letters - i.e. "3g" or "3G"?

    BlackBerry is supporting it....

    Your Carrier also has to support BIS... who is your carrier? Very possible that they have officially stopped supporting BIS, or they have an issue with their BIS deployment. Or just with your account.

    I verified that Rogers is supporting BIS.
    There is no issue with my account since my SIM worked with another BB model .
    PS : My SIM also worked in a Samsung .

    Go to options > device > advanced system settings > host routing table. Press the BlackBerry button and select "Register Now."

    I think that should work, but I've never had BIS.

    As for the general question, the internet on my Bold 9900 is working fine. Well, you know ... as fine as it ever works.

    Mine? Koodo. I'm going to transfer to Public Mobile when my Koodo minutes run out.

    I don't use BIS though. I just set the APN and install the Anworm service books. See The Bold Explorer for more info on configuration for networks without a BlackBerry plan.
