After weeks of back and forth with Blackberry, there has been zero solution to POP UP ads randomly happening on my BB devices. I have three BB devices. Dtek 50 & 60 and a Priv. The first bout with the pop ups were the two active devices both Dtek's. Blackberry eventually had my completely reset the phones. After about two weeks of flawless use, the pop ups re appeared. This time so far only on the Dtek 60. But a couple days later they appeared on the in active Priv. Its only running on wifi.

After a weekend working with BB, they want me to reset again and install apps one at a time. leaving considerable time between installs to eliminate each as a possibility.

Needless to say I'm very frustrated. I am a custom home builder and utilize plenty of apps for home automation, security etc. I don't have the next month ;-) to install apps one at a time. I need to run my business.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. I can't be the only one out there.

    HELP.

Have you tried something like Malwarebytes Anti-Malware?
Generally I don't think antivirus software is really necessary on Android, but in this case it might actually help.

Are these only on WiFi or are they on mobile networks too? If it's only on WiFi check to see if your router isn't compromised.

Have never had this happen. There must be an app you are using that is causing these. It's not a BlackBerry issue (as I would assume any device with the culprit app would act the same way) so I'm not surprised calling them lead to nothing. As they stated, the only thing you can do is find the culprit app and stop installing it on devices.

Has a phone that has never been connected to that WiFi network experienced this issue?

If it hasn't, then the commonality is some rogue app.

    Then that's also a candidate.

Check your router settings, make sure there's nothing out of the ordinary (especially DNS). If need be consider wiping to factory, but regardless what happens change the login credentials for both the admin page and the WiFi network.

If you want, consider wiping a phone, installing all the apps you want but not connecting it to WiFi to test.

    no real rhyme or reason.

I've had them pop up while writing emails, texting, awaking the phone, opening an app. Thought it was twitter based but after deleting etc it still happened.

Will have the wifi checked tomorrow. Odd ball, is that 2 of the 3 phones are getting the pop ups. All 3 are on the wifi constantly.
