The company where i used to work got a new project in 2012 from GM in Detroit. However we had an office in Detroit it had only business department, no engineering and GM wanted a resident engineer on site. My boss selected me to go there and do the job.

So first time in my life (and only with ~2 years work experience) i went to USA all alone. This is a big thing for guys like me from an ex-socialist land. I only seen USA in the movies before.

So long story short, in the US office they gave me a black box and said: here is your company phone. It was a Blackberry. Now i try to find out the exact type of that phone.

    What i know:
    - it was black
    - it had qwerty or qwertz keyboard. Probably qwerty, because USA
    - it had a shiny chome frame, like some Bolds
    - afair it had no touchscreent (can be wrong)
    - it was a new, sealed phone, probably released around that time
    - everybody at the company had the same phone
    - i think it was smiliar to the 9700, but it released much later
    - i disliked it, that's why i want to buy one

I know it isn't too much information. I remember there was a number on the BOX, but i don't know if it was 8xxx or 9xxx.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank You!

Thing is US Companies were well known for issuing older devices.... but one assumes that in 2012 it would have been a BlackBerry 7 series... 9900, 9930.

Do you know what Carrier the phone was from?

    Was the screen touch sensitive?

I’m thinking either 9000 if has roller ball or 9900 if no roller ball.

Sad thing is, I bet more than a few folks might have been issues a BlackBerry that still had the roller ball.... even in 2012.

Some of the things that made enterprise user hate BlackBerries... wasn't really BlackBerry's fault.

    No, none of them.
I clearly remember to the nicely curved chrome strip around the device. It looked just like the 9700 on the front, but the back cover was different. And it can't be 9700 because the release date.
Does Curve models had chrome strip like the 9700?

No, the silver frame went to the back side of the housing, like on the 9700.

I tought it was released in 2013, but it released in 2011.
Buti the silver frame of the. 9900 is all around, mine was like the 9700 (at the top on the backside, at the bottom on the front, on the side sideways. Sorry, I can't describe it better.
I am definetely sure it doesn't had carbon-fiber on the battery compartment door. Frankly I find that disgusting, maybe because I worked with carbon fiber before.
But in this timeperiod all Bold had carbon fiber back, afaik. Then it must be a Curve.
It was nicely curved, that sure, but had the Curves silver frame all around? I find only images without silver fram, just black plastic.

No, the 9300/9330 series had a different design than the 9350/60 and the 9370 had a rubberized back.

    This gives a better picture.

Please help me find out which Blackberry i had-verizon-blackberry-curve-9370-release-date-us-market.jpg
