    Hi,

The problem Ii have is the "i" key. It puts a letter before even the key clicks (there is juist a little little pressure needed, just slightly touching the key makes it write a letter). It seems to be a minor thing yet it impares using the whole keybord.
    What can be a problem?
    Dust?
Is there a way to clean it withouit dissembling the whole device?
May there be an other reason?

Yeah, mine is like that, as well--over sensitive keys on "W", "R" and "K". OS version could be the culprit. Try to update it with a version just below the most current one. The newest one seems to trigger this "semi-double typing feature". I've been rocking my Q10 for 9 months and never experience this, until that last update.

Or, you simply have to pry open the device and replace the keyboard. I've seen how it's done on YouTube, I am NOT doing THAT myself. I'd pay a specialist to do it.

If I may, what's your OS version?

    10.3.1.1779
If it is the case I will be so much grateful.
I have doubts though cause I belive the problem started one day, with no relation to OS upgrading. But I will absolutely try (writing this very message takes me twice the time due to the "i" deleting that happens all the time)

i assure you i am not blonde.
yet i dunno how to do a downgrade... I thought connecting to a PC with bbLink would work. Unfortunatelly not. I spent an hour and a half searching the web for tutorials and i am confused... I feel like i would have to spend much more time which, honestly, i don't really have.
Could you please give me a hint, a few bullepoints of what pogram is needed and how to do it?

    Lol about the blonde.
You actually don't need anything beside connecting the Q10 to a PC with a USB cable. Don't even use BlackBerry Link because it doesn't work that way. And judging from your current OS, what you're doing with this version of OS is really an update, because it is higher, but just below the most recent one, that I believe has caused me the double typing problem.

Anyway, please do it like this:

    1. Unrar the file with winrar or 7zip. You will have an .exe file from this.
    2. Connect the Q10 to the PC with USB cable. Make sure it is loaded to a certain drive, like Z://, for instance. This is to ascertain that the PC really reads and loads the device.
    3. Run the aforementioned .exe file by double clicking it or press Enter onto it.
    4. Let it runs it's course. Do not touch the phone until it's finally reboot itself and you start the phone from a compete scratch, like new, asking you questions as you setting it up from the very beginning.

    IMPORTANT!!
For this reason, it is strongly suggested to do a data backup before updating a device with autoloader. I do this with an app from the BlackBerry World called "Ultimate Backup for BlackBerry 10". You have to buy it, yes, but it's worth it, because you can keep literally all data to the SD Card that you can pull back once you are done updating. Of course, you have to reinstall the app after update, but the data is still there on the SD Card, and all you have to do is restore it back to the device.

    I guess something went wrong...
The device won't reboot. The process seems to go all the way, then the DOS-window closes and the device (as the instruction states) should reboot. But it doesn't. The LED keeps blinking on red (intermitted). The LED keeps doing that all the time, batterry removal stops it (obviously), battery placed back in results in the LED blinking the same way. No other device reactions.
I may try other OS autoloaders... What OS versions would you recommend:
    - 10.3.2.2876
    or
    - 10.3.2.2339?

Hmm.... that's weird. It should've worked alright. Unless if it's truly a downgrade to an OS far down below--which it's not.
Please try to remove the SD card first before updating it with the 10.3.2.2876.
I hope this time it works. If the device is alright, it should work.

Well am suffering from the same issue but in reverse. My "A, space bar and delete button have slowed down to the point it doesnt recognise my touch, I need to really press harder on them to get them working. Am on 10.3.2 which fix my previous double tap problem but created one of its own.

Tried doing what you said, bhoqeem. I was testing various configurations with the two versions of OS going through the installation proces with and without an SD card inside.
Nothing changes as the sensitivity of a key is concerned so i guess it is a hardware issue.
Meanwhile I read opinions of many many people suffering the same. I can hardly believe the sitation happens on such a scale.
Do you possibly know the classic? Is the device also suffering some major problems?
    I can't believe it all

    That's for the Passport.

The problem you are describing is physical sztoff. A replacement keyboard is inexpensive, and while I wouldn't consider it a difficult job, if you're not comfortable performing surgery on small electronics, I'd find someone who is. Only takes about 30min max to accomplish.
