Don't get me wrong, I so far love my new Passport, but I noticed that the volume/skip keys on 3rd party headphones don't work anymore!?

    Worked fine on my Z30 & Q10.

    Is there a REASONABLE explanation?

Anybody know what 3 button key headphones are compatible?

I refuse to buy the BlackBerry WS-430, assuming they even work?

This has been reported many times already...

BlackBerry say that from Passport and Z3, the hardware is not wired to accommodate Active media controllers on the wire, + BUT does support passive... so BlackBerrys Premium headphones should work.

so the controls on "i" versions of headphones dont work.

Not sure if they have re+wired the hardware on the Classic, but it IS very annoying

Many of us cannot use normal in ear headphones, and now the perfect fit Bose we spent a lot of money on...

Anyway- BlackBerry has confirmed this is a hardware issue, and will NOT be a simple OS "fix"
