Put it in water (a pool preferably), for at least 30 minutes

I think you should determine the source, is it
- radio equipment : it's normal but avoid overload.
- battery : you might need to replace it.
- rarely CPU and related stuff : will I have no clue.

It's a game! It's the CPU and GPU!

There is nothing you can do. It happens to all devices in the world, no matter the platform.

Even your desktop runs hotter when you play games, it's just not in your hands when it happens.
