He said STL100-1...and he's in India :)
Carrier does not matter for unbranded phones. However, in the case of India, something else is going on. I don't think BB has released the update there yet, for whatever reason.

Then why they are not rolling out the update!!! Someone on crackberry said in india verizon has rolled out the update

Verizon is not an Indian carrier. Verizon has rolled out an update to all its phones, some of which may be in India and elsewhere outside the US. All those phones got the update.
