    What phone were you using before?
    If it's iPhone that's probably the source of the problem

    Omg!!! I can get MMS messages now! Deleted all messages from phone turned my phone off and on and now it works! I can send them too! Im sooooo happy!

    Have you checked the text message settings.
    Go to the hub
    Tap the overflow 3 dots on the bottom right
    Tap settings
    Tap Text Messages
    Tap advanced
    Notice circuit switched preferred
    Also check your apn settings as you can set different from data apn

    I would use a 3rd party app like Backup Pro that will back up your messages to your sd card. Then you can restore.

    Actually this is the app I used. A corrupt message will break messaging regardless of the method as proven here. I used 3rd party, she used Link. Same result.

    I went from iphone to classic and have never did a backup before. My BIS data isn't important enough and my host handles my BES data. I called AT&( and they said if you are nearing the 5Gb threshhold you'll be throttled and mms uses 2MB of data to send and 2 to receive and mms won't work on wifi. : / that is utterly stupid!

    They were wrong about 2MB. It's less than 1MB: Picture/Video Messaging - AT&T Wireless (read under 'size limits and file types.')

    I know MMS doesn't work too well on WiFi (if at all,) so maybe the carrier data it needs is your carrier's data?

    I wonder what happens when you're roaming and want to send one.

    We don't have roaming in US anymore. but you're correct it needs only cellular but I am rarely on wifi anyway so still doesn't explain it. At&t says I may need a new sim.
